Bairro Alto is a typical neighborhood in downtown Lisbon, packed with night bars, tourists and all kinds of parties, as you can imagine. During the day, some elder, quiet ones come to discover exquisite fashion stores, small boutiques and romantic corners in a numb, light atmosphere.

 

This book set was made for a personal discover of those surroundings, using a clear, simple map with transport highlights. Finepaper pages with light colours can be used for drawings or taking notes.

 

Almost everything in the map/book was handmade: the cover illustration using watercolours and the book binding using traditional techniques. Only a few pictograms and the subway map are vector based graphics.
